- It's time to put up our Christmas tree.
- Parents-in-law are coming to take care of the two kids. Mom-in-law called the other night saying they wanna come over to take care of the two kids so Peter and I could go out and do our own thing minus the kids. That was really wonderful of them. We didn't ask them coz Mom takes care of the other grandchildren. I thought there's no need to ask coz it's very tiring already to take care of the other grandchildren there. But they offered! So we grabbed the chance. :)
Schenker was very happy when I told him it's December 1st and it's time to do up our Christmas tree. "Yeheey, I like!" Hmmm... I love to hear his excitement. It's finally an exciting December for us as a family as Schenker is already aware of Christmas and other stuff. So, I had to put the tree inside the house.
It was outside the house the whole time coz it was too tall, there was no place for it. I have been decorating this tree for 4 years now and everytime, I had to use the same decos (which is cost-saving) and just add up a little bit of here and there everytime I see some decos that really fancy me. This year, I'm adding up two pretty Christmas socks; one for the boy, and one for the girl. :) Last year, mom-in-law bought me some nice golden balls from London... so that was my add for last year.
This is the making of this year's Christmas tree:

And this is how it looks after: As you can see, I didn't put much on the lower side. Oh well, I did. But before I could start putting up on the upper side, my girl would pull the balls and played with them. Well... who wouldn't be tempted to play with such nice red balls? Hmmm.
So, this is our Christmas tree on the first day of Christmas, minus the lights. I'm putting it up next time.
Mom and Dad came so we decided to just put it off and decorate again next time. Peter and I prepared for our firt date (after a few years). And left the house with a crying boy. Hehehe.
It felt so awkward going out without them. We went to my favorite mall, Sunway pyramid. It has finished building it's 2nd building so we almost got lost going to the cineplex. The last time we went for a movie there was 2 years ago. And two years is a very long time, don't you think? So we felt like we came to a new place. We went for a movie. It was a choice between Beowulf and Enchanted. We chose Beowulf. And took a love-seat. Hehehe. What a great way to begin the end of the year. ;)
We came home. Here's the juicy part. We asked Mom and Dad how it was with the kids. "It was terrible." They said. Hehehe. "They made us tired. They're so active we didn't even have time to eat." LoL. "She did this, she did that. She was like this, she was like that." You notice a "she?" Yes. Most of the complaints were about my girl. And she's only one year old. LoL. Towards the end of the "sumbong" or "complaints" my mom-in-law asked me: "How do you manage to take care of such two active kids?" Again, I Lol'ed. Hmmm... I thought it was just me... feeling incapable and feeling very miserable taking care of my kids. Somehow, I felt relieved when my mom-in-law asked me that. So we had to explain the differences between our kids, their personalities and characteristics. Now, they understand what we mean. They experienced them hands-on! Hahaha.
So that was the first day of Christmas. More days waiting for us, more things to do. The sad part is, our adsl/wi-fi modem was struck by a lightning the other day. So less time bloghopping and chatting now. I use dial-up now and try to be patient in uploading photos.
Here's wishing everybody a fun time preparing for the special day, Christmas!
