they're growing up...

it never ceases to amaze me how time flies so fast. my kids have grown and it feels like they have grown overnight! i have two lovely kids, both with different personalities. schenker's temperant is melancholic/choleric and samantha's is choleric/melancholic. they may have different personalities but they're very close. of course, there are occasional fights. which normal kids don't? but it's not like everytime, every place, at every reason they fight. my boy is very loving. samantha would never fail to hear her brother say "i love you samantha." and when he does that it just warms my heart. but even warmer when he asks samantha: "do you love me?" and samantha says: "yes." it just melts my heart. i just pray that they continue to be loving with each other until they grow old... until they have their own families.

sibling rivalry is so common, no doubt about that. and i guess, parents' treatment to kids add factor to such. when parents start to show favoritism, i guess the rivalry starts. i see a lot of sibling rivalry that even in their grown up years, they want to compete with each other... who gets a nicer house, a nicer car, more income, more children?, etc. life for them becomes a competition.

i pray that my two kids will grow up loving and supporting each other. like how a family should be.
