With gift giving season coming up, everybody will be thinking of what gifts to give to family and friends. Sometimes, it can be challenging if a friend or a family member is very particular with gifts they get. They don't want this, they don't want, I want this, I want that. It can be very stressful especially when you're on tight budget. But here's some Christmas gift ideas that we can give whether we are on tight budget or we want to splurge our money to give away:- books - when we give books, we must be sure what books the receiver likes to read.
- house decorations - we can give small small things like house decorations. but then again, we must be sure it does well with the design of the house. otherwise, it will end up in other people's house, or worse, in a waste basket.
- music cd's
- homemade cookies and brownies - these don't last though but it's sweet to give homemade brownies and cookies. Just make sure the receiver likes to eat sweets.
- Christmas cards - nothing beats like giving Christmas cards, especially when it's handmade. I think Christmas cards are one of those that don't go out of trend. This is the most convenient thing to give especially for our friends and family that live far from us. I got a few Christmas cards from friends last year. They surely touched my heart.
- Ju Ju Be diaper bags - perfect for parents that have babies.
- Crafts - I'm not a "crafty" person. Hehehe. Can't find the right word for that... but some people are very good in arts and crafts... These are great things to give as a gift.
However though, there are just gifts that we get but we don't like. As I have blogged last year: Admit it. Whether we like it or not, we get gifts that we don't normally use or we don't normally like during gift-giving time in some way or another. Not all people who give us know us that well. But of course, we'll be embarrassed to let the giver know we don't like what we get, right? I'd feel a bit funny if you tell me that. And of course, 'tis Christmas... and it doesn't matter if we like the gift or not. It's the thought that counts! and the giving heart (and maybe the receiving heart as well). So what do we do with the gifts that we don't like? Here are my tips: What Do We Do With The Gifts We Don't Like.
Christmas season is not about what we get or what we give though. It's about the Love we get from the One who loved us first. This was the season He was born... He gave Himself and He gave us an option to receive Him. I hope that we choose to have Him in our lives. Then only our Christmas becomes meaningful and beautiful.

That's right..it's the thought that counts... and with everyone on a tight budget at this time, it's already a big deal that someone thought of us and spent some time choosing, buying and wrapping the gift for us ,noh?
