2 Blogs Down

I have now exported my other blog (which I didn't make public) to my wordpress blog at Jan Writes. So now my blogs are down to 6. These 6 blogs are the blogs I try to update because I'm using them for paid blogging.

But of course, I have 3 other blogs which is still free hosted. 2 of which are my blogs for my kids... mainly my letters to them... These two were the first blogs I have created two years ago (in Blogspot) which I haven't been updating for awhile now.. And the other free hosted blog is an outlet for my other photos (i'm a professional photographer wannabe, btw). Too.

I have changed templates for Our Family Story blog too. You might wanna visit if you have time. I am actually working on my blog list there because I lost my list when I changed templates.

My apologies also for not visiting your blogs for a while now. I will have to make it a priority once we are already settled.

For now I'm off to feeding my kids their lunch. Ciao!

My Blogs

Everybody knows I have a million blogs. Hehehe. I actually set them up for my paid blogging business. But I realized I can't keep up with all of them. So now I am re-structuring and merging. LOL.

So what have I been doing? I deleted some of my blogs but imported the contents to the other blog.

My Janet Speaks blog which talks about women stuff at http://www.janetspeaks.com is no longer existing. However, I have exported all the contents to my other blog, Mom Writes. Both of them have almost the same niche. So I thought to better merge them together.

Also, I have been hosting a food meme called Yummy Sunday at my other blog. I found there are other existing food memes available. So I just decided to give it up. If you think it's a waste to give it up and you would like to host it, please let me know so I can change and pass the codes to you.

I am now keeping my Our Family Story blog to our family's updates.

So there goes. I feel so relieved after doing all these. I need to work on exporting my other blog as well. For the meantime, I'm off to cooking dinner for my kids.

Today's Quote

Can't help noticing today's quote from my right side bar:

“If we would talk less and pray more about them, things would be better than they are in the world: at least, we should be better enabled to bear them.”
—John Owen

It really is a lot better to pray about them than just talk.

I remember one day when I was preparing for our wedding, I was very anxious. One of our friends called Peter and asked how things were. Then I think he mentioned that I was feeling a bit anxious. That friend called me and asked if he could pray for me instead. I was so blessed.

Sometimes when people know you're in trouble, they straight away give you that unsolicited advise. Sometimes, we don't need that. We just want a listening ear and a praying heart. We might not know the effect but it works better for me. I'm sure it works that way for others as well.

it's me,

Why, Mommy?

The pressure is on! My son has started asking why I couldn't drive while his friends' moms could drive and send them to school. I feel terrible when he asked me that. We only have one car to use now because hubby gave his old Ford car to his daddy to use. The car we are using now is that old Volvo model and it's heavy and big. I can't imagine myself driving it. That's what I've been telling my son. The car is too big for me to drive. That's why we choose to stay in the area so we can walk to school if daddy's not around.

The other day, when I walk my kids to school, my son told me. Mommy, when I grow up and be a police, I will buy you a small car so you can drive. Very thoughtful, my son is. Well, I'll just make sure I buy car insurance when that happens and I get to finally really drive. We never know what's waiting for us while on the road.

Friends Reconnected

Facebook is awesome. Not only because of Farm Town but because I have some friends that I haven't seen for more than 20 years and now we're reconnected. The last time we were together was on our teenage years. Now everybody's married and have kids of their own. Well, some are not married but going to already. It's fun. It's like 20 years rolled into... facebook. LOL.

I was chatting with a friend the other day. I asked her to put photos in her profile in facebook so I could see how she looks like now. She jokingly said she's hesitant to post her photo because she's scared she won't fit into the frame because she has gone really fat! LOL. Anyways, I think all of us have really gained weight. It's different when you're a teenager and you're always on the go. If last time we didn't need any of those exercise equipment because we could just burn the fat off by our activities, now I think we need more motivation and equipment to do it.

I am grateful for facebook by the way. After a full day's work, you just wanna get online, relax and let your hair down and take quizzes that could make you laugh with friends with the results.

Spent a Bit

We have spent quite a bit buying new furniture now. That means we have to be careful with our spending for the rest of the year. We actually are justifying it a bit... like... it was time to buy a new couch set anyway, it's just a matter of when and this time is the right time to buy. LOL. Our king-sized bed is still usable so we don't need to buy a replacement... otherwise I would opt for sleep number bed. The only thing is we need to put the frame up now so we can sleep on a proper bed. We took off the bed frames and legs last time when we moved to this house because the kids were co-sleeping with us. I feared they would fall off the bed while sleeping so better put the mattress on the floor instead. But with our new house, we're not going to do that anymore.

I'm actually monitoring our finances really closely. I don't want the family to suffer for the rest of the year just because we overspend.

it's me,

Our House is Ready

Well, almost. A couple of guys came to the new house just now to pick up all the stuff the owners left (which we didn't like) like the 3-seater sofa, dining table with chairs, coffee table, pull out bed and mattresses. The house is now ready for us to move in. Just waiting for hubby to come back from Phuket.

I am glad also coz after the painters did the painting, the offered to clean up the whole house. I have also cleaned up the kitchen. It was sooo dusty. After cleaning up, I have moved some of the kitchen stuff after cleaning up the kitchen. Now it just needs some touching ups to make it look like a homey kitchen.

And oh, I need to clean up the bathrooms. But they're all easy to clean because they're made of ceramic tiles. I need to go back there today to do that. There are just too many things to do. Our delays caused all this. But I'm fine. God must be teaching me to be more patient... coz I am too excited I can't wait. LOL.

it's me,

They Noticed!

I think it's been awhile since I didn't have a breakout. I can't remember my children noticing my breakouts til two days ago when I had it on top of my lips, just below my nose. My girl noticed it first (coz she sticks by me a lot): Mommy, what dat? (what's that?). My boy said: Mommy, there's something growing on your face. LOL. I can't help it but my kids are very observant. Even that tiny weeny adult acne they notice.

I think my breakout is caused by my stress which started early this week. We were so ready to move in to the house but when the Lorry guy came, he came alone. Did he expect my husband to help him carry all those heavy stuff? So we sent him back and told him to come back next time with helpers. Since hubby was going to Phuket this week, we told him to come back only at the end of the month. So now we have to wait for a few days before we can officially move.

My house is so cluttered, with all the boxes all over the floor. Can't wait for next week to move out!

She Loves to Color

Just wanna show off a bit about Samantha's coloring. She loves to color. And for 2 and a half years of age, I am quite impressed with her coloring as she's already careful to color inside the drawings only.

And please don't tell Schenker's teacher if you accidentally bump into her: Samantha sometimes does her brother's homework for him, especially when he's too lazy to do it.

I actually thought she learned this from school. But when I asked the teacher, she said they haven't started learning how to draw/color/write yet. They even haven't started reading the alphabets yet. I think she just loves to draw.

My boy, on the other hand, has different interests... he's a very curious boy:

Why does it rain?
Who pushes the clouds (when he sees them moving)?
When it rains, does God get wet?
Why does the earth only have one moon?
Mommy, you said the moon only comes at night, why now, it's daytime, I can see the moon?

Mommy, I love you 80 much! (yes, eighty much!). LOL.

Another Trip

No.... it's not another trip for the family. It's another trip again for hubby. He will be going to Phuket next week and no, he's not staying in Stratosphere hotel. He and his team are staying at Crystal Inn in Phuket then they will head to Ranong to visit the Sea Gypsies. I haven't been to any of his trips to Ranong but hoping that one day, I and the kids could go with him.

For now it's a challenge to go with him as he always have to go to different islands in Ranong. Sometimes, he goes through the rough seas just to hop on an island. Maybe when the kids are older, we would go with him. I don't really push in going with hubby for his trips when I know it's not very convenient for my kids. I'm a comfort traveler, if there's such term. I used to be very adventurous... but with the presence of my kids, there are just some things that need to be compromised. And that is to stay at home with them. I know this won't last long. Just a few more years... then I will be back to my own auld self.

Packing with Kids

Packing with kids means more work... but it is also fun. So I don't mind having my kids around when I'm packing. I am halfway through my packing. Yesterday, when I was digging my old things, I suddenly bumped into my old yet sexy bride lingerie. It was a gift for me to use for my first night being a married woman. I kept those things when I got pregnant with my first. After that, I didn't have guts in wearing them again. Go figure.

I am looking for wallpaper border for my girl's room. I am taking effort to make her room cozy because it's going to be her bedroom-cum-guestroom. Schenker's room will be quite straight forward. I just need to buy a few wall stickers. He likes the idea of an outer space room. I may buy a few glow-in-the-dark space stuff.

Changes

I just made a quick trip to Sunway Pyramid to check on some sunflower designed bedding. I didn't find any. I went to Aussino, Living Quarters, Home's Harmony, and even checked Akemi, hoping to find sunflower stuff there, to no avail. So now, I have to change plans. I am quite open to other options.

Aussino is on 70% sale... and even the Disney Princess bedding is on 70% sale. So I am grabbing the opportunity. Akemi is also on 50% sale for their curtains. I am glad that it is a good time to do shopping now because there's mid-year sale everywhere. I even saw some engagement rings on sale... not that I am buying one... hubby already got me one.

I am going back to Sunway Pyramid tonight. I need to take measurements for the curtain. I thank God for sales in Malaysia. You can get a good quality (branded) products that are actually affordable.

Sunflower Theme

I am planning on setting up rooms for my kids. Thinking of some themes for their rooms. I am thinking of doing a sunflower theme for Samantha's room because her room color now is yellow and am not planning on re-painting it. I checked online where to get sunflower designed bedding. I saw that Aussino has some nice girly-girl bedding. Aussino can be found in Sunway Pyramid and Ikano. I'll probably check the one in Sunway Pyramid first. It helps that Aussino has a website. They show what's available and what's not. They also display some promotional products. I was lurking around their website too much I found that they're looking for POS systems operator. Hehehe.

Anyways, I'm off to Sunway Pyramid tomorrow for a brekky with a friend. Will then explore Aussino, Living Quarters and Home's Harmony. All these stores are on mid-year sale now. I wanna know what I can have from these stores. Hopefully I can find some sunflower stuff there. Otherwise, I'm open to other options like a Disney Princess theme.

Moving Out Postponed

There has been some problems with that big house with 6 rooms and 8 bathrooms. We were intending to move in by June 15. But because of some problems, instead of moving on the 15th, we're moving by July 1st instead.

I am still packing our things. I actually took a break when we learned about that big house. But I should start doing packing again. We don't have much to pack since I have given out a lot of things already. The only stuff that don't need packing are the big stuff like furniture and appliances. I think we need to hire a lorry to move our things in. Since we're only moving nearby, we don't need long distance moving companies to ship our things.

Packing is supposed to be a stressful job... but since we have time to do so, I let my kids help me... which makes packing fun. Schenker cuts the tape while Samantha presses the tape on the box. They're loving the work. I am glad.

it's me,

My Notebook

Technically, I don't have my own notebook now. I am using a friend's one which have to be sent to Pakistan soon. I kept saying it has to be sent but until now, it's still with me. I don't know how soon is soon though but I am happy to be using it still. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to keep up with my farm in Farm Town.

There I go again, Farm Town. But do you know that you have to have a good (if you're using notebook) notebook computer memory to be able to keep up with Farm Town? I have read that once your memory is not enough, you will be kept booted out off the game.

Does that mean I need an upgrade? Probably if it's time to buy a new one, I make sure I have enough memory inside.
it's me,

Kids Not Around

Hubby promised to take both of them to the office during school vacation. Schenker kept bugging him so he finally took them to the office. I have an appointment to meet somebody for a training tomorrow so I decided to do whatever I have to do at home today and let hubby take the kids to the office. So now it's serene and tranquil. Once in a while when you have kids, you crave for this kind of serenity and tranquility. But never for long though coz at some point, you start missing them.

One thing I like about not having my kids around is that I don't need to cook nice food. Nice food simply means healthy. I cannot be cooking instant noodles soup for them all the time, right? But that's what I do everytime they're not around. My favorite is Mamee noodles soup, with friend chicken and garlic flavour. That's what I had for lunch. I can eat that for months and never get tired of it. I know it's unhealthy. I'll probably need the best weight loss supplement if I only have that for my meals because it's fattening.

Anyways, we're having fish fry and veggies for dinner tonight. My kids love fish so much. I am happy coz fish is healthy. The veggies part... hmmm... hubby and I eat them.

Pedicure

Two weeks ago, for the first time here in Malaysia, I went for a pedicure. I was feeling a bit down and I wanted to have a break. So when Peter was at home, I sneaked and went to Summit Mall for a pedicure. It's quite costly to do manicure and pedicure here in Malaysia. That's why whenever I wanna have a pedicure, I do it myself or when I go back to the Philippines, I make sure I do it there too.

I wanted to try the pedicure service here... so finally I went for one. I actually liked the service. It was like having a foot spa. My feet were soaked in warm water first, then the pedicurist scrubbed them. Then she did my nails. After that, she gave me a foot massage... and she massaged my legs as well. I paid RM38 for it and I was quite happy. No wonder they're expensive... they do a very good service. I don't mind doing it again.

it's me,

Exercise Routine

After my disappointment of not being able to climb Mt. Kinabalu early this year, I have stopped doing exercises. I used to go to the park and jog/run/walk. I was doing really well and I progressed every day. In fact, because I sweat a lot, I also lost a lot of weight.

Now I need to get back into my exercise routine. The problem with me is that if I don't have a motivation, I slack. So now, I am slacking and looking like a slouch potato. Probably what would help me now is to get that best diet pills and start popping them in everyday. Maybe, I would start losing again. Who knows.

it's me,

Facial

I haven't gone for facial treatment for ages. I used to go once in three months. Then I started having babies and no longer had time to go for facial. It's actually good to go for facial even once in a while to take care of your skin.

Actually, you can do so at the comfort of your home. I have books that suggests on how to do facial for different types of skin, the natural way (there's even natural acne treatment that is discussed in the book and ways to do it). But I haven't been doing for awhile now. I think it's just a matter of setting up priorities. It has been kids and earning money online nowadays.

I should get back into that routine. After all, it's my body that I am taking care of and it sure way is a good investment for healthier skin. But the question is... when can I start?

My Farm Town

Farm Town in facebook is becoming really popular and a lot of facebook members are into it. So how does my farm town look like? I decided to share it with you. My farm town is at its biggest with 24x24 size. Just don't ask me the unit because I am not sure. This is the biggest area one can get, available for 80,000 coins. Anyways, I took a snapshot of it. It didn't fit in one shoot... so I just broke them down into three.

Apparently, you can design your own farm. There are different kinds of farm. So depends on how you project it... it would be how you want it to be. It actually reflects ones personality, so to speak. I've seen a lot of farm designs. Some can be really creative, planting all different kinds of crops that it gives a lot of colors to the farm. Some like it plain and simple... purely crops... no accessories at all. I saw one that looked like a community type: there's market, neighborhood, and a lot of things going on around the farm.

Mine is like this. I have converted in into a resort. And I think it is soo cool to do that. I can gaze at my farm town for one whole day and never get tired of looking at it. But of course, I have to do some other things too... so I cannot do that.

Anyways, to all "farmers" out there... enjoy farming (plowing, planting, harvesting, hiring, (begging?), and socializing!

New Moon Trailer

For those Twilight Saga fans... I bumped across New Moon's official trailer. I thought of sharing with you as well. New Moon movie is coming to cinemas on November 20, 2009. I am looking forward to seeing it in the cinema. :D Enjoy!

The way they introduced Jacob as a werewolf just gave me goosebumps. I hope the movie will be better than the book version. I still like the Twilight book more than the movie. Chris Weiz, I hope you meet my high expectations.
