Surprise Visit

Last night, my brother-in-law and wife came to take the car from our house. We've been using their Kelisa the past few days by the way. And since my husband has gone to Thailand, we no longer use it. I don't drive yet and am not planning on doing so in the near future. My dilemma though was that they didn't call when they came so I didn't have a chance to do a bit of clean up. Well, I should always keep the house clean. But with kids around, it's a challenge to do that. So the kids toys were all over the floor. Also, we just had our dinner and I didn't have time to wash the dishes... I felt so horrible when them around with my house like that.

I was reminded of the 10 virgins in the Bible who were waiting for the Bridegroom. The 5 virgins kept their lamp oil full and they saved extras just in case. The other 5 virgins didn't prepare... So when the night fell and the Bridegroom made a surprise appearance, only those prepared virgins were accepted.

Lesson learned: must always keep the house tidy. Whether or not we have one of those Kohler faucets, must always wash dishes after mealtime. Sometimes when the house is squeaky clean, nobody comes to visit. Oh well... life can never be perfect.

it's me,

Water Ran Dry

Since we moved to this house, we didn't buy any of those water filters that you can just attach on the water faucet. So we end up buying bottles of water. Now we ran out of water. Hubby is not here to go and buy the water. I don't wanna order by phone and have the water guy deliver water in my house without the hubby. So, now I am boiling water for us to drink. Tap water in Malaysia is safe to drink. But it has been raining here. I don't wanna take my kids' health risk. Two more days and the hubby comes back... will have bottled water then.

it's me,

Laundry All Week Long

I just noticed that I had been doing the laundry everyday for this week. I am a lazy laundress. That would mean, after sorting out, I put everything in the washing machine. When I say everything, I really mean it. I don't do hand washing... except probably for the new clothes that I just bought. Even if there the sun is shining... and the weather so hot it could dry the clothes, I would still put them in the dryer. I always promise myself not to use the dryer when the sun is out... but I always end up using the dryer. There are some clothes that I send for dry cleaning though. That would include my husband's and son's tuxedo shirts, coats, my saris, heavy rugs, etc. But I don't send too often because it's very expensive to send for dry cleaning. Anyways, this week, I had been washing the curtains, sheets, couch covers, etc. That explains why I had been "laundering" this week.

Chris Tomlin

When hubby went to Atlanta last year to join the Passion Conference, he got some music cd's with him when he got back. He actually didn't have time to listen to all of them and they were just lying around at his office. Just lately, I had a sudden urge to listen to Chris Tomlin's music and the Passion Worship Band. So he took them home. I played them on my notebook. Now, I want to download them in my iPhone but I actually wonder how to do it. U have never tried before. For those who have iPhones and MP3 players, will you guide me in doing it? Or maybe, I just need to take the first step. I haven't really sat down and try it. It would be nice to take music this way, especially when you're in for a long trip.

Just One More

(The driver and his passenger)

Just one more and I am going back to bed. This post is going to be random.

I love it when kids come and say I love you mommy with accompanying hugs.

I love it when the hubby comes and wanna "bully bully" mommy and the kids come and tell him to stop it. Don't disturb my Mommy! LOL. I know it then that even the hubby doesnt truly "disturb" mommy for real, that I have my kids to protect me.

I love it when Samantha would say, Mommy, I want you and Schenker would say, Mommy, you know what, I like you.

For parents, times like these are priceless. Of course, there are some things that happen in between, but those are normal. The kids are growing up and they need to go through certain situations for them to learn. Parenting is not a bed of roses... at least not all the time. There are some perks and quirks.

I have two wonderful children and I thank God for them.

Okay now I can go back to bed and get my natural acne treatments by washing my face before going to bed and by going to sleep early.

Wait, what time is it now? 2 am? Well, it's early, all right. Early in the morning. LOL. I better get up now and do what I need to do. Tomorrow is going to be a very special day. Ciao!

it's me,

Kitty Poo

Oppsss. This not a cute-sy kitty kitty poo post. Sorry. But I also don't want to offend my readers, especially those who love cats/kittens. I ain't no fan of 'em. (that's what cat poo does to me, i get a very different slang/accent. LOL). Anyways, so much of this joke and stuff. I am in a goofy mood. I wonder why.

Well, back to my post... like I said, I'm not a big fan of cats. Although they all look soooo adorable and lovely when they're kittens. The irony is, everywhere we go, everywhere we live, there are just so many of them hovering around the house. And I hate it when they fight. The noise they make sounds so eerie and spooky. LOL.

Why am I posting about cats? Well, I found yesterday morning, two sets of fresh poos on my carpet grass. Arrgg. I didn't dare clean coz I couldn't take the smell. It's a good thing that they pooed on the lawn instead of the garage flooring. That would be worse as I would have to clean it up because the kids love playing outside and they usually just hang around the garage.

Anyways, yes, the two sets are still there. I'm just waiting for them to dry then I would scoop them up and throw. Sigh. Again, I'm sorry for all the cat lovers outhere. I don't mean to be mean. Just hate finding poos on my lawn.

it's me,

Global Warming and Al Gore

I have read in the news that 30,000 scientists are suing Al Gore for Global Warming fraud. I'm not sure whether this is only political. I never cared about the global warming thingy... not that I don't care about environment. I do. I care about having a green environment. And I know that a lot of people are still not in the know on how to keep our planet green.

A more debate on global warming is challenged but the other party chose to be quiet about it. Anyways, with all these global warming issues coming up, whether the allegations against Al Gore are true or not, we, as people living on the earth, should take care of our environment.

There are a lot of preventative factors. We can stop burning trees, illegal logging, and start planting trees, flowers, etc in our backyards if we have one. No littering anywhere, save up rain waters by using rain barrels and use it to water our plants/gardens, etc.

We can also help by eliminating the use of plastic bags when shopping and use those green bags which are now available at most of the grocery shops. We can just do our parts. I believe we have that God-given responsibility.

it's me,

Toothy Talk

My husband has a good set of teeth. I don't. I used to have a problem with my gum. But that was solved by using Sensodyne for quite a few years now. I think Sensodyne is really effective because the last time I went, my dentist told me there were not cavities that need be be air brushed. And the last time I went prior to that was two years ago.

Since I wasn't really good in taking care of my teeth when I was younger, I make sure now that my kids know how to take care of their teeth. I think both of them have good sets of teeth and teeth formation. Must have taken after their daddy. I am glad. But of course, it's hard to tell because now they only have milk teeth. They may or may not need implant dentist Plano but I am making sure that they do proper teeth hygiene.

It's amusing though because every after brushing their teeth, they would come to me, open their mouths and asked me: Mommy, smell my mouth, pls. He he.

Independent Kids

I am glad my kids can be independent now. With my hubby's frequent traveling, I could go with him at times and leave my kids with their grannies. I didn't train my kids to be independent while young. In fact, I tried to be there for them and never force them to be away from us. I think we have built in them some kind of trust in us that now, they can trust other people, too. I am also glad that they have grandparents that are very willing to take care of them. I know it's not their responsibility to take care of my kids... but they're here every time we need them to look after the kids. And they're very happy to do so.

I remember my mom-in-law used to ask me if she could take my kids to her place in Banting because she so wanna spend time with my kids. I knew then that one day, I would have to send my kids to them... but I didn't do so for their first few years. Now I can totally leave the kids with their grannies, without me worrying about them too much. Wait. That's a lie because I still worry about them. But I know they're in good hands. I think all mothers would feel the same when away from their kids.

Anyways, now that my boy knows his father's phone number, he can easily call us if he wants to. I just wish that he's old enough to open the computer and have a live chat with us when we're away but I think that could wait a while. I don't want to train my son in using the computer on his own too early... although I use it to teach them at home sometimes.

I remember when we went to London, he left a lot of voice messages for us in our phone. We didn't really use our roaming account because it's very expensive to do so. We bought a London simcard though and used that to call home.

it's me,

Central London

My system and body clock is still in London so please pardon me if my blog posts are all about London. :D

I just wanna say that I am glad we were able to stay at Central London. When we were looking for a place to stay, we were looking for some place cheap and conducive... and didn't mind about comfort. As long as we could do things on our own, then it was fine with us to stay at a hostel... kind of bed and breakfast actually. It was very cheap to be able to stay in that hostel for an uptown area. Our hostel was clean, I always saw one worker using central vacuum to vacuum the carpeted floor. And with the amount we paid per day, we got breakfast included too. Breakfast would include eat-all-you-can cereal and milk, toast, orange juice and coffee or tea. I was okay with it since we normally eat cereal with milk for breakfast at home.

Of course, I would appreciate it if we stayed in a countryside... to get a feel of English ambiance. With so many things to do in the heart of London, I think I didn't regret that we stayed there. Of course, staying at the countryside or even touring the countryside would come next time. If ever we get a chance to go back to London, that is. But with Air Asia, (like my friend said), dreams do come true. Now it is easy to fly to London.

London 2012 and Bogota 2015

I just realized that I haven't been updating this blog for so long. I've been posting about my recent trip to London then Bogota, Colombia in my travel blog and neglected this one. My apologies, blog. Anyways, we had a good trip to both of these countries. It's amazing to experience different culture, taste different food and meet different people in two different parts of the world and in different weather. :D

One thing I learned about this trip is that London is hosting the Olympic Games in 2012 and Bogota bid for the Pan American Games in 2015. I thought Bogota won the bid because I saw from our hotel room the stadium they're building and the banner in front said: Bogota 2015. I just realized that Toronto is actually hosting the Pan American Games in 2015.

Anyways, whatever and wherever the games would be, I'm sure millions of people around the world will be glued to their tvs to support the players and see who would win. I am of course, very excited to see the games but we don't have cable tv at home. So I'm sure I can only watch recorded games.

Bella Italia, London

Twilighters, Twilight Fans, New Moon Fans, Edward and Bella fans, this post is dedicated to you all. I was thrilled to see Bella Italia Restaurant in London. Of course, it's different with the one in Port Angeles... but when I saw it, I got ecstatic and asked the dear hubby if we could have dinner there. I was pretty sure it's pricey to go in... but we this was the only chance we got to go to that restaurant. I wanted to get the feel of Bella Italia's atmosphere. The dotting hubby didn't disappoint the hopeful wife... so we went there for a nice dinner. Of course, I'm an Italian food fan too. So it was great to be able to dine in Bella Italia.

Sorry... I'm not in the picture... I'm the official photographer in this trip... so you won't see me much. Pardon me.
