Hubby and I had a chance to go to Mexico when we were in San Diego, California. Our friends told us that it would only take 20 minutes to the border. And so even though we didn't plan to go to Mexico during our US trip, we have decided to go there. So we went to the nearest city which was in Tijuana. Going there was like having a 180-degree switch. It was so near US and yet people don't speak English. Oh well, it was Mexico after all. We had fish taco. It was my first time to eat fish taco. I thought when they told us about it... I thought they were just joking.
When we went to our next destination, which was in Bakersfield. We had another round of Mexican Food. I had Esther's Delight which I really really highly recommended. When we went back to LA, we had Mexican food for two dinners. LOL. I just loved Mexican food there. And you know when it's Mexican food, it would only mean one thing: massive portion. And you are right to think that I would need a colon and body cleanse. I just ate too much. Those food were not particularly bad... it's just that I ate too much.
I really enjoyed Mexican food there. Somehow it tasted a lot lot lot better compared to what we get here in Malaysia even though the chef of the restaurant we usually go to is from Mexico. Well, I'm just glad I was able to taste an authentic Mexican food. Oh by the way... my favorite was Chile Relleno.
